OUR MISSION
Our mission at Deep Sail Capital is to compound the capital of our Limited Partners (LPs) over long periods of time while being mindful of tax implications. We believe that by treating our LPs well and focusing on compounding their capital that we will be able to build a successful investment firm and grow our own capital alongside our LP's capital.
We pride ourselves on being flexible and investor friendly, including a fee structure of 1.5% & 15% which is below the industry average.

OUR STRATEGY
At Deep Sail Capital, we utilize a long-short equity strategy with a natural bias towards net long. Our strategy is best described as a "growth at a reasonable price" (GARP) strategy. In our long portfolio, we look for companies that meet our four pillars of an expectational investment. Our long portfolio is broken into three areas of focus: Quality, Microcaps, and Special Situations.
The short portfolio is meant to provide both a source of alpha and a means to increase leverage on our long portfolio while attempting to keep our beta hedged. We focus on short positions that have the following characteristics: potential frauds, pump & dumps, broken or declining business models, industry fads, initial public offerings (IPOs) with upcoming lockups, and overvalued moonshots. We will not short companies purely on valuation without an identifiable catalyst.
DEEP SAIL CAPITAL PARTNERS LP
Deep Sail Capital's flagship fund, Deep Sail Capital Partners LP, is a Delaware-based pooled investment vehicle. The fund was originally launched as an incubator fund in 2013. We pivoted the incubator fund in June 2016 to the current GARP strategy. Deep Sail Capital Partners LP was launched to outside investors in July 2022. The fund is currently accepting investments from US-based accredited investors.
Our ideal limited partner (LP) is aligned with our goal of long term capital appreciation and is comfortable with near-term volatility. We're looking for LPs that want to partner with the firm for the next 10–20 years as we build and grow our business.
